Theresa Mackey My photographs are a precious and joyful journey into the natural world. In my heart I am an anthropologist, a geologist and a botanist. The photographs are samples of my finds, they record and preserve so that I may review and reveal the world that I see. In these details there is a sweetness, a stillness and a truth.
Born in Ontario and raised respectively on the east and the west coast of Canada, Theresa has travelled extensively and attended the Kootenay school of art. Since 1988 she has lived and photographed her life and family on Salt Spring Island.
